Stumbling out of the door this morning at 5am I realised that it was all ready out of the habit. It’s an easy habit to break 5am starts.
The good thing about the drive this morning was the Saddle Road. Mainly because it was really quite gorgeous; the ubiquitous fog had covered the road from Dannevirke to Woodville, so it was dim and damp. However at the top of the hill you broke through the cloud layer. Behind was a rolling bank of clouds, above a clear sky filled by a full moon that perched just above the windmills. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon washing the clouds and hills in light glow. It was all rather pretty.
